Mobile massage services
We’re all busy and stressed these days with work and family commitments – finding time to look after your body or exercise sometimes falls to the bottom of the to-do list.
Our Batemans Bay-based mobile service is convenient and flexible, saving you time, so you can now take better care of yourself as part of your busy lifestyle.
We offer a range of massage services and personal training options (or both combined), all from the convenience of your own home.
We’ve found that the best benefits from massage can be gained from a series of treatments. Our recommendation is to have three sessions (one per week) initially to work on any outstanding issues, then two fortnightly sessions. After that, a maintenance program of monthly or six-weekly massages can usually keep on top of any issues.
We also recommend a minimum one hour treatment with Finch therapy and at least a 90 minute treatment for your first remedial massage to allow time for a full assessment and release of all the muscles.
See below to learn more about each type of massage and our extra services.
Types of massage and extra services
Remedial massage aims to treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile. We locate the damaged area and apply pressure, to speed up the body’s healing process. Muscle pain can radiate to other parts of the body, so by treating the initial area of concern we may also relieve other pain you have. Treatments aim to repair the injury, stimulate blood supply and increase mobility. We offer the option to add a hot stone treatment, and/or Finch Therapy to your remedial massage – let us know when booking your procedure.
Note: For your first remedial massage, we recommend a 90 minute session. This allows enough time for a thorough assessment and to release all the muscles that need working on. If you’d like to add a Finch Therapy session to any treatment, we recommend you choose a session of at least 60 minutes duration.
Sports massage is a treatment specifically tailored to different sports and sporting injuries. In these treatments, we aim to reduce stress and tension on areas of your body under stress due to your sporting activities. Sports massage may help to increase endurance, improve performance, reduce the chance of injury and improve recovery time. We offer the option to add a hot stone treatment, and/or Finch Therapy to your remedial massage – let us know when booking your procedure.
Note: If you’d like to add a Finch Therapy session to any treatment, we recommend you choose a session of at least 60 minutes duration.
Swedish massage is a gentler technique than remedial or sports masssage, aiming to provide relaxation and tension relief. Swedish massage may help to relieve tight muscles caused by everyday activities such as sitting at a desk, by alleviating lower back, shoulder and neck pain. The treatment may provide relaxation, stimulate nerve endings and increase blood flow. Hot stone treatment is included in your Swedish massage. You may also add Finch Treatment to your session – let us know when booking your treatment.
Note: If you’d like to add a Finch Therapy session to any treatment, we recommend you choose a session of at least 60 minutes duration.
Pregnancy massage is used to reduce stress and swelling and to relieve muscle and joint pain in pregnant women. It is a gentle technique designed to relax. It may also help you sleep better and lower your anxiety levels. We provide the necessary equipment for your session such as a pregnancy pillow.
Cupping is a technique orginating from China. Cups are created on the skin to create suction, which may facilitate healing with blood flow. It can also relieve muscle tension and promote cell repair. The suction effect creates a vacuum that draws the skins and muscles upward, stimulating blood flow.
Cupping may be included in your remedial or sports massage treatment.
Dry needling is a technique whereby thin needles are inserted into trigger points in the muscle or tissues. The aim is to release knots and relieve muscle pain or spasm. Dry needling may also improve flexibility and increase range of motion.
Dry needling may be included in your remedial or sports massage treatment.
Finch Therapy is a non-invasive soft tissue muscle therapy focusing on pelvic and spinal alignment. The aim of the treatment is to treat the underlying cause, and not just the symptoms. Finch Therapy may be effective for back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, knee, hip and ankle pain, headaches and arthritis.
Finch Therapy can be added to your remedial, sports or Swedish massage treatments. let us know when booking your treatment.
Note: If you’d like to add a Finch Therapy session to any treatment, we recommend you choose a session of at least 60 minutes duration.
Here at Affinity Treatments we specialise in a particular style of Bowen Therapy. Deft Bowen is a more tailored approach to Bowen Therapy. It is all about the enhanced quality of massage technique, bringing insight to identifying the suppressed pain in the muscles. It also includes correlating that pain to the emotional components, which results not only in relief of pain but a deeper understanding on how to manage that pain. This treatment is an effective pain relief and promotes general wellbeing.
